Privacy Policy

FilingPro (“FilingPro”, “we”, “us”) is operated by LionsPro Tax LLC, an Authorized IRS e-file Provider. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to filingpro.us and the FilingPro application.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address and authentication identifiers when you create an account (including via Google or Apple sign-in).
• Business (payer) information — legal name, Employer Identification Number (EIN), address and contact details of the business filing the forms.
• Recipient information — the name, address, Taxpayer Identification Number (SSN, EIN or ITIN), email and payment amounts of contractors you report, including data extracted from Forms W-9 you upload.
• Tax documents — Forms W-9, Forms 8821 authorizations, IRS transcripts, and the 1099 forms generated for you.
• Payment information — processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage and device data — log data, IP address and basic analytics needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your information

• To prepare, validate and electronically file your information returns with the IRS.
• To verify Taxpayer Identification Numbers before filing (TIN Matching), which reduces IRS rejections and penalties.
• To generate and deliver recipient copies (Copy B) and, where you have obtained consent, to furnish them electronically.
• To retrieve IRS transcripts on your behalf when you have a valid, signed authorization (Form 8821) on file.
• To process payments, provide support, and send service-related notices.
• To comply with legal and IRS program obligations, and to detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. How we protect your information

Taxpayer Identification Numbers (SSN/EIN/ITIN) are encrypted at restand are masked throughout the interface — only the last four digits are displayed. Access is restricted by row-level security so each account can only reach its own records, and access to full TINs is logged. Data is transmitted over TLS, and transmissions to the IRS use the IRS’s secure Application-to-Application (A2A) channel with signed credentials.

4. When we share information

We do not sell your information. We share it only as needed to deliver the service:

• The Internal Revenue Service — to file your information returns and, where authorized, to request transcripts.
• Service providers — hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing, AI document parsing, and TIN verification vendors, each bound to protect the data and use it only for our instructions.
• Recipients you designate — the contractor copies you choose to deliver.
• Legal — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.

5. Google account data

If you sign in with Google, we receive only your basic profile information (name, email address and profile image) to create and secure your account. FilingPro’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

6. Data retention

Because tax records must remain available for audit, we retain filing records and supporting documents for at least four years after the filing due date, consistent with IRS recordkeeping requirements. You may ask us to delete your account; we will remove data that we are not legally required to keep.

7. Your choices

• Access and correction — you can view and update the information in your account at any time.
• Electronic delivery — recipients may withdraw consent to receive statements electronically and request a paper copy.
• Account deletion — contact us to request deletion, subject to the retention rules above.

8. Children

FilingPro is a business tool and is not directed to children under 18.

9. Changes

We will update this page when this policy changes and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated to account holders.
